Tri-Central has a finalist in the Kokomo Tribune Local Heroes essay contest.  One of our 4th grade students, Emily S., wrote the following essay.

Mrs. Howell is my local hero. She is nice, caring and kind.  She care for us, our class. Most of all, she can put up with me. This is my 4th school. Mrs. Howell is the best ever. I wish me and her were sisters. We do fun things with her in class its really cool. I love how she doesn't have a favorite kid in class who she loves the most. Even if she doesn't have any super powers, she is still the Best teacher ever. She still loves me even if I'm rude or mean. She said I was unique because of my scar on my arm. I love playing pranks on her. She is always tring to find ways for me to help with my anger. You will never find a teacher like her. That's why Mrs. Howell is my Super Hero.
